2005 Excellence in Service Award
Speech presented by Julie Tande at June 7, 2005 CFSC Awards banquet
The Excellence in Service is our most coveted individual award. This is the award
that always has the most nominations. The frontline workers receiving this award have
always had tough competition. In a reversal from the other awards, this recipient
nailed four of the five categories. She missed winning the fifth category by a single
point.
Our recipient is a working supervisor. She supervisors the child support unit, fraud
investigations & recoveries, TANF-medicaid & Food stamps as well as handling
all the child support bookkeeping. She has spent many hours on the CBMS pilot and
roll-out and has managed to keep the child support ledgers initiated and the balances
correct down to the penny.
She has streamlined our contempt process, our docket prep, and our court procedures
and business practices. She researches and seeks out new technology and tools to assist
her staff. She encourages us to work independently and self-directed. Her management
style has helped us to work even harder to make her proud.
The ACSES liaison, guru, master of many hats, and the 2005 Excellence in Service recipient,...
