2005 Lump Sum
Speech presented by Jo Liebel at June 7, 2005 CFSC Awards banquet
Lump sum collections test our patience and perseverance. It takes specialized skills
to find, negotiate, and finally capture the collection. Just one collection summarizes
all that it takes to be a good child support worker. The result is a family that calls
you a hero, a personal feeling of accomplishment, and a Family Support Council that
recognizes your dedication.
This year the top 50 lump sum collections collected nearly $2 million dollars. To
qualify in the top 10 for a large county required a minimum of $42,000 dollars.
Instead of me talking we ask each of the award recipients are asked to explain how
they received their lump sum.
