2005 Excalibur Award
Speech presented by Dee Price-Sanders at June 6, 2006 CFSC Awards banquet
The Excalibur award recognizes the visionaries that lead us into the coming years. Always on a quest, these nominees lead not only by example, but also with an attitude that is infectious and ennobling. They can draw their sword to fight for what is right, but also do so to slash through the Gordian knots that tie us to inefficient and outdated ways.
The quite persona of this person hides the huge impact she has on the program. One large county supervisor said, "She is well respected throughout the State for her skills. Whether discussion programming/technical issues with a new (county) employee or the director of a county program, she ensures that the information being provide is received and understood."
Via her actions, results, and knowledge, her peers and management see her as THE expert on a number of systems and a vital player in the future of ACSES. Her deep understanding of the program tied to her technical understanding creates a powerful combination that gives her an uncanny ability to come up with solutions to what appears as an insurmountable impasse. She finds solutions that not only give the group what they need, but fits into what we can do technically.
The 2005 CFSC Excalibur award goes to my sister...
