2006 Excellence in Service Award
Speech presented by Cherrie Schlauger at June 6, 2006 CFSC Awards banquet
The Excellence in Service is our most coveted individual award. This is the award that always has the most nominations. The frontline workers receiving this award have always had tough competition.
Our recipient comes to work each day with a great big smile no matter how difficult her own life is. Her dedication to the children has been recognized in her collections; which are the highest of any caseworker in our office. We try to obtain her secrets for success, but she just laughs and says "I work hard". As a legal tech she has worked every part of the alphabet and because of her diligence, hard work and ability to defuse situations, made each of her caseloads the highest level of collections. She incorporated a colored dot system for her caseload so when she looks at any particular file she knows their paying status by the dot. Our attorney admires her preparedness for Court as she offers multiple options when applicable. Her ability to speak Spanish and Cora Indian has been a godsend in the effectiveness of our collections as we deal with a large immigrant population. The clients feel more at ease after talking with her because they can sense this is a person who really cares about their problems and concerns.
