Overview of Committee Responsibilities

AGENDA COMMITTEE
IV-D Track: Generally two tracks presenting topics relevant to child support workers in all areas.
Professional Growth: Sessions deal with individual needs from wellness issues to job skills.
Legal: Assembles sessions for attorneys. These sessions are rated for attorney CLE credits.

AUDIO-VISUAL
This committee coordinates audio visual needs for all the tracks, entertainment, and any other needs that arise.

AWARDS
This committee evaluates the criteria and how nominations will be conducted for the various awards presented at the Awards Banquet.
Duties of the Awards Chairperson

BY-LAWS
The corporation by-laws are subject to change and clarification by anyone in the child support field. This committee will prepare the appropriate side-by-side presentation of the old and new information and present it at the annual business meeting at the conference. The chairperson will also provide the new council each year with a revised/signed copy.

DONATIONS
Members send letters to their regions/communities to solicit items to be given as door prizes and/or auction/fund-raising items. This committee selects charities from nominations received to receive the funds from the auctions. In the past both live and silent auctions have been held.

ENTERTAINMENT
This committee is responsible for the annual Monday Night event and any other games, competitions, etc. conducted during the scope of the conference. This committee is also responsible for the table decorations and any others at the Awards Banquet.

FINANCE
This committee meets to determine the annual budget by reviewing previous years expenditures and income as well as the cost of food for meals and breaks for the upcoming conference. A preliminary budget must be prepared for discussion at the September meeting and accepted at the October meeting.

HISTORIAN
This committee maintains the president's book (blank page: President's Survey) and photo albums of past events. They may take pictures at meetings and other venues as well as maintain/improve the quilt and banner. All these items are on display at each conference."

PUBLIC RELATIONS
This committee publishes the IN BASKET Newsletter at least 4 time a year. They are also considered a part of the CFSC booth operations and any other activities, that they choose, to encourage council and conference participation.

REGISTRATION
This committee determines what and how conference materials and individual gifts are given to conference attendees. They coordinate the registration information with the Treasurer and prepare name tags for all attendees and speakers. The registration table is manned for the entire conference to assist with any needs and/or issues which may arise as well as serving as an information center.

SITE
This committee solicits, visits, evaluates, and selects facilities that have the capacity to conduct the CFSC conference. Currently, the committee is selecting a site for the conference to be held two years in the future.

VENDOR
This committee contacts vendors associated with child support and coordinates their registration with the Treasurer. They ensure the vendor tables and spaces are appropriate and also solicit sponsorship of meal and break functions. In the past they have prepared signage to acknowledge these sponsorships.

CFSC BOOTH

This committee has been overseen in the past by the donations and giveaways committee. This is also considered a part of Public Relations. They research and purchase items with the CFSC logo on them to sell to conference attendees. These funds go toward AV needs.
